Try to be happy in this present moment, and put not off being so to a time to come,—as though that time should be of another make from this which has already come and is ours.
The way I see it is you have two choices in life; you can be grateful for everything life has given you or you can be resentful for everything life has done to you. Your degree of happiness is directly proportional to the conviction of your choice
Life is a series of experiences,
each one of which makes us bigger,
even though it is hard to realize this.
For the world was built to develop character,
and we must learn that the setbacks
and grieves which we endure help us
in our marching onward.
Failures are often the results of timidity and fears; disappointments are the results of bashfulness; hours of leisure pass away like summer-clouds, therefore, do not waste opportunity of doing good
